Feeding Families in Lake County

Adelante Center is passionate about increasing access to healthy foods for those in need, especially during the holidays.

This holiday season, your donation supports programs and resources dedicated exclusively to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable residents of our community. Join us in our mission to provide access to healthy snacks and meal kits for families in need.

• $25 Provides nutritious snack kits for one middle school youth for a week.
• $50 Provides farm and gardening supplies for one youth participating in Adelante Center's summer STEM agriculture program.
• $75 Provides 5 nutritious meal kits for a family of four for one week.
• $100 Provides 2 hours of training for 2 local teachers or volunteers in hydroponic urban agriculture
• $250 Provides nutrition education and a 3 hour healthy meal cooking class for 4 local families at Adelante Center's new Post Marketplace Test Kitchen in downtown Waukegan.
• $500 Funds fees for one middle school or high school youth to attend Adelante Center's STEM camp to learn about high tech hydroponic urban agriculture and work at one of our sponsored hydroponic farms.
• $1000 Funds one hands on cooking class via zoom for up to 20 families including nutrition education and meal boxes with all ingredients.

In 2023 Adelante Post Test Kitchen and Post Pantry will prepare over 36,000 premium and affordable nutritious, dietary appropriate, and culturally relevant meals in Lake County.
